This Cop Will Regret Arresting This Open Carry Protester [VIDEO]

David Amad of Open Carry Texas was peacefully handing out constitutions while in possession of a rifle while standing at the corner of Bay Area Blvd and Reseda Drive. Amad was confronted by officers who demanded he show ID, to which Amad claims not to have been in possession of. Police then disarm and arrest Amad, while demanding he erase the video from his camera which recorded the incident.

KRIV-TV legal analyst Chris Tritico stated in The Blaze that the actions by the officer were “completely illegal.”

“Someone calls up and says this makes me nervous, they were pointing the gun, whatever the complaint was, the police then have the right to come to you and investigate that complaint and so at that point they lawfully have the right to say give me that weapon while I talk to you and you have to give it up,” Tritico said.

Houston Police confirmed that no charges will be filed against Amad as he was lawfully carrying a gun.
