Shocking footage has emerged from West Coast Farms in Oklahoma where factory farm workers are brutally abusing animals. The farms supplied meat to the largest meat producer in the U.S. Tyson foods, who immediately severed all ties to the company. Undercover investigative video was released by Mercy for Animals, showing workers punching, kicking and smashing pigs into concrete.

‘We’re extremely disappointed by the mistreatment shown in the video and will not tolerate this kind of animal mishandling,’ a Tyson spokesperson said. ‘We are immediately terminating our contract with this farmer and will take possession of the animals remaining on the farm,’ he added.

The owner of West Coast Farms immediately fired the employees who were identified in the video.

I couldn’t watch the video, I had a pig once and she was smart and good eating too!

what kind of psychopath would treat animals like that? not only should they be fired, they should face criminal charges.

Thank you for this. So many libertarians forget that the point of the free market isn’t the cheapest product but rather the product that reflects our values. To get things like this to end, we as consumers should show that we don’t value it. I personally make sure to get beef hot dogs because in what I’ve read about farming and ranching practices, cows have a much better quality of life than pigs.

Studies have proven that anyone with a personality disorder that would allow them to abuse an animal in this manner poses a danger to humans.Charges should be filed against these people and West Coast Farms in Henryetta,Oklahoma, and more severe charges to the ones who were “fired.” People need to know the names of people who would do such a thing! The public will know that West Coast Farms is serious when they bring charges against these workers for destruction of property.
