‘Psycho Shrew’: Georgetown Prof Doubles Down After Attacking Muslim Trump Voter

By Katie Frates

Georgetown University associate professor C. Christine Fair is cranky that people don’t like her attacking a Muslim woman who voted for President-elect Donald Trump.

She continued her month-plus Twitter and Facebook ranting after The Daily Caller News Foundation’s piece revealing her attacks against Asra Q. Nomani. (RELATED: ‘F**K YOU. GO TO HELL’: Georgetown Prof Loses It On Muslim Trump Voter)

Fair attacked a Daily Mail reporter in a new Dec. 28 open letter on Facebook for reaching out for comment. She called The Daily Caller a “dubious news outlet,” questioned the Daily Mail reporter’s journalistic integrity, and said Nomani should have “expected responses” similar to her own.

Fair tweeted that she was proud of TheDCNF’s article, but later deleted the tweet.

She also appears to have removed her Facebook open letter Dec. 6 to Nomani, in which she told Nomani, “FUCK YOU. GO TO HELL”:

Nomani, a former Georgetown journalism professor and Wall Street Journal reporter, wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post Nov. 10 explaining why she, as a Muslim woman and “long-time liberal,” voted for Trump. Fair called her a “wretch” and a “psycho shrew.”

Fair seems to mock Nomani in a series of tweets for not having a job. Nomani told TheDCNF she chose to be self-employed after the birth of her son. “When my son was born, I decided to go freelance so I wouldn’t have to outsource his care because I’ve been a single mother,” she said.

Nomani appeared on “The Kelly File” Wednesday, saying, “I’ve lost a friend, that’s how it goes.”

“Do you think she should be fired?” Sandra Smith, who was anchoring for Megyn Kelly, asked. Smith said Fair described the situation as “a mob of unending, crazed nuttery.”

“I would never go that far with anybody,” Nomani replied. “I ultimately have forgiveness in my heart and compassion.”

She continued, “This is not a difficult conversation to be had … I have never felt unwelcome in this country. After this election, my fellow liberals have turned me into an enemy, as if I have horns on my head. That’s not a comfortable feeling.”

Twitter users descended en masse to condemn Fair’s behavior toward Nomani.

Fair was originally going to appear with Nomani on “The Kelly File,” but backed out, citing alleged threats from Trump supporters.

Neither Georgetown University nor Fair responded to a request for comment.
