*POLL* WHICH FORM OF CORPORATISM DO YOU MOST DESPISE?

Screen Shot 2013-02-28 at 8.01.08 PMLibertarians criticize conservative and social democrat policy because of the special relationship afforded to corporations economically. Some of those corporations include the motion picture industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the banking and finance sector and the industrial products sector. Food is subsidized via corn subsidies.

These amount to small giveaways to farmers with specific instructions like NOT to grow items such as tobacco or TO grow crops like corn on their property. Although many of these types of breaks are usually isolated to tax incentives, many large payments to industry to conduct business or NOT to conduct business are in existence today. And the corporations like it just fine. But is it fair to the taxpayer?

Corporatism in America is not a bug in the system however, it’s a feature. The subsidization of private interests for public good is more aptly titled “crony socialism” because it truly puts taxpayers at risk to fund private ventures with a guarantee of a loss on the taxpayers dime. So this is not a form of capitalism in any way. It is mercantilism. It is socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor. A rigged system against the little guy.

So for this poll, which subsidization or ban on private industry do you most despise?
