Police find baby dead in freezing cold apartment with her two starving sisters (VIDEO)

CHICAGO, IL – Police are questioning the mother of 7-month-old Lamya Hampton who died from what appears to be sickness and exposure. The girl and her two siblings were discovered after one of them left the apartment to beg for food from a neighbor.

The baby’s 25-year-old mother was caught in a Jeep Cherokee about two blocks away and arrested. She is being brought up on endangerment and child abandonment charges.

The baby was found bundled in a snow suit in a car seat and reportedly had a severe fever before dying. The other two children were taken to the hospital and are recovering.

“The arrestee left the victims unattended,” the police report stated. “Said actions caused the death of (Lamya Hampton) and endangered the lives and well-being” of her sisters.
