A recent study conducted by interviewers at the Princeton Survey Research Associates International shows a stark difference between Republicans and Democrats in the perceived value of colleges and universities, religious institutions, banking and financial institutions, and news organizations.

Telephone interviews conducted between June 8th and the 18th of this year, sampled 2,504 adults over the age of 18 from all 50 states, including the District of Columbia.  Their study found that 72% of Democrats had a favorable opinion of academic institutions, compared to only 36% of Republicans.  Popular opinion of the national news media was generally lower, with 44% of Democrats viewing them favorably, while only 10% of Republicans consider them to be reliable purveyors of information.  59% of Democrats approve of labor unions, while only 33% of Republicans do.  When it comes to the topic of banking institutions, 46% of Republicans have a favorable view of them, while only 33% of Democrats do.  73% of Republicans believe that churches and other religious organizations are good for America, with 50% of Democrats in agreement.

These findings really shouldn’t be all that surprising, as politically right-leaning people have a very different set of values when compared with left-leaning thinkers.  Let’s hone in on the data regarding academia: Individuals who identify as politically “right-wing” believe in maintaining economic value differentials.  They accept the premise that the more there is of something, the less value it has.  “Left”-leaning people reject any notion of value at all because it threatens their sense of egalitarianism.  To acknowledge economic differences would be to accept the reality of differences between individuals, ideologies, and environments.  That’s just something politically “left” people are not willing to do.

The value of college degrees has dropped sharply due to the increasing number of institutions popping up around the country, as well as the number of degrees being conferred.  This problem is exasperated by the fact that many of the degrees young people are pursuing have little or no direct economic value in the market place.  In effect, college has become a way to extend adolescence without providing any valuable skills or opportunities.  Not only are students less likely to find gainful employment upon graduating, but they are crushed underneath the weight of the loans they took to attend college in the first place.  This thrills Leftists – the more people who attend college the better, because then everyone will be equally useless.  Utopia achieved!

If you’re a Republican (or simply not a Leftist), of course you will be opposed to American colleges.  After all, they are opposed to you!  The colleges and universities have become entirely hostile to any kind of diversity of thought.  At this point, it is impossible to deny the fact that academia has become a breeding ground for hatred and resentment.  Everyone from Milo Yiannopolous, to Ann Coulter, and even the somewhat-milquetoast Charles Murray have been run off college campuses, because the Marxist professors and Statist administrators have cultivated an environment of intolerance.

For the self-motivated and entrepreneurially-minded person, there is simply no rational reason to enroll in an American college.  The only industries where you could possibly make a reasoned argument (medicine, and some specialized doctoral programs) have recently taken a turn toward the Social Justice Warrior bend of reality.  In 2017, a college degree is something you pursue only if you don’t think you’re capable of anything else.  It is simply too much of a liability (and a mental health hazard) to pursue higher education in the United States.

Time and resources are limited, and college is more expensive and less valuable than it has ever been.  Perhaps academia can be reformed, but today’s young minds would be best served to find success elsewhere.  There is almost nothing that can’t be learned online, and starting an entrepreneurial endeavor is now easier than ever.  To attend an American university or college is to run the very serious risk of having your brain rot inside your skull, and subsequently spill out of every orifice in your head.  The amount of insanity that young, college-going Americans are compelled to endure is enough to cause serious psychological harm, nearly instantaneously.  And if the communist rhetoric doesn’t damage your brain, the activist students will.

For anyone with eyes to see, the political Left have made it very difficult to be an American with any kind of right-leaning political orientation.  Right-wing apathy towards labor unions and news corporations is a testament to the fact that Leftists have invaded those organizations, and weaponized them against anyone capable of independent thinking.  Having equated right-wing politics and anything remotely Americana with pure evil, it is no wonder that the “right” holds these institutions in such low regard.  The only institutions right-wingers respect (such as religious and financial organizations), are those that still retain a shred of the classic American ethos, as flawed as they may be.

Not content with merely murdering right-wing politics to death, the political Left are even burning their own capital.  These Left-wing institutions have created the strawman meme that “White” and “Republican” are synonymous, even though American Blacks and Hispanics are more right-wing than ever.  Perhaps racial harmony can finally be achieved, if we can somehow let the Political Left continue their vitriolic self-destruction without taking the rest of the country with it.  The rest of us can make America great again once the Left is done with its infantile tantrums.
