Peter Thiel, prominent tech entrepreneur and supporter of President-elect Donald Trump, was spotted wearing a Hulk Hogan costume while attending an exclusive costume party in Long Island, New York on Saturday.

Trump was also in attendance at the soiree hosted by hedge-fund manager Robert Mercer, according to Bloomberg.

The costume choice for Thiel seems to be a “middle finger” to the former media outlet Gawker, which outed Thiel as a homosexual in 2007 much to his distress.

A co-founder of Paypal and board member of Facebook, Thiel paid $10 million to help fund lawsuits against Gawker Media, most notably Bollea v. Gawker.

Terry Gene Bollea — also known as professional wrestler Hulk Hogan — filed a lawsuit against the digital media outlet after it decided to post portions of a private sex tape involving Bollea.

Bollea was awarded $115 million in compensatory damages, as well as an additional $25 million in punitive damages. (RELATED: Peter Thiel Changes His Mind, Says He Will Donate $1.25 Million To Trump, Report Says)

The financial backing of Bollea’s case against Gawker was “one of my greater philanthropic things that I’ve done,” Thiel said, according to The New York Times.

While the case officially concluded around March, 2016, Thiel felt that there was no better opportunity than Mercer’s annual costume party to both gloat and be festive.

Other notable costume-sporting attendees were Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway as “Superwoman” and former leader of the pro-Brexit campaign Nigel Farage as the naval hero Admiral Lord Nelson, according to Bloomberg.
