Officer Pleads Guilty To Stealing Jewelry & Cash From Dying Motorcycle Crash Victim

Officer Aaron Huntsman pleaded guilty to theft of jewelry and cash from a victim of a motorcycle crash in Connecticut. The state police trooper was convicted of felony charges and will spend a little over a year in prison.

Huntsman reportedly stole over $3,000 in cash and a gold chain from John Scalesse who died after a crash in September of 2012. The investigation began after family members reported the missing items, which were later found in Huntsman’s vehicle. It is believed he stole them from the man while the victim was dying in the ambulance.
