Never before seen footage of Robin Williams performing for the troops in Kuwait in December of 2007. His performance is unexpectedly interrupted by military tradition. The scene that unfolds is one of decorum, patriotism, and class, as Williams joins the troops in solemn pose as Retreat sounds as the flag was lowered. Williams jokes he will never forget the only time an audience turned its back on him.
“But we don’t have to retreat, right?”
Williams said seeing the crowd of soldiers suddenly turn away “scared the shit” out of him.
