The director of the Office of Management and Budget Mick Mulvaney, during a press conference from the White House, made sure to correct the record on the gender of his children following an error in a Thursday morning article out of the New York Times.

In the article, authored by Matt Flegenheimer and Alan Rappeport of the NYT, it was reported that Mulvaney was “a father of triplet daughters.”

Having caught this, Mulvaney took the opportunity to tell the NYT and the two authors that they were “in trouble,” and he offered the NYT representative in the press corps the first question should he relay his message that his two boys were (jokingly) upset about the faux paus.

The article in question appears to have been edited since the incident, redacting the portion on his children.
