“An on-your-own kind of mentality.”

“You can take guns into schools if your local school board, you know, really approves that. You can take guns into church if your church leaders say so,” says MSNBC contributor Goldie Taylor, describing Georgia’s new gun rights laws.

Signed by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal on Wednesday, the legislation has been called the “guns everywhere” bill by opponents.

To someone who believes in personal liberty, this new pro-gun legislation sounds too good to be true.  To Taylor, however, allowing people to defend themselves is “selling this on-your-own politics to people and it’s really pretty scary.”

“On-your-own” seems to mean “equipped to protect oneself,” as opposed to being dependent upon the government, as Taylor would apparently prefer.
