ST. CHARLES, MO – A Missouri mother was arrested after a topless photo of her and her 14-year-old daughter she sent via Snapchat was circulated around the local school.
The 50-year-old mom and her daughter were posing with their nipples covered by their hands in an outdoor hot tub last November. The other daughter, a 13-year-old girl took the picture of the mom and her 14-year-old daughter.
Snapchat pictures usually disappear after a few seconds, meant to be seen for an instant before being deleted. But one of the recipients of the photo grabbed a screenshot and spread it around at school.
St. Charles County Prosecutor Tim Lohmar said: “The issue here is the fact the daughter was 14 and the mother was clearly present and involved when the photo was taken. It certainly appeared that the picture was posed and it certainly had some sexual overtones.”
he mother is complaining that the allegations are ridiculous. “I was aware the photo was taken, and I told her at that second, please delete that photo,” the mom said. “I wasn’t posing I was getting out of the tub.”
She could spent up to a year in prison for endangering the welfare of a minor.
