Dear America,
You have no idea how good you’ve still got it.
I mean, you lucky bastards had like no government for two whole weeks! Ok, fine, I realise it was only a “partial shutdown”, but hey – if I could partially impede the devil I totally would. It’s a step in the right direction after all.
But really, I say you don’t know how good you have it, because at least you don’t have to witness what we here in Britain would describe as the “omnishambles” that is the European Parliament – and pay for the privilege of being a part of it at that! The federalist dream/nightmare (delete as appropriate) that has come to pass in Europe has become such a farce in recent years that we are now at a stage where the parliamentarians in Europe are not even provided with the relevant text to read before voting on a motion.
Don’t believe me? Watch the video below to see UK Independence (UKIP) Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) complain that they had not yet been able to read the amendments to the motion on the table. The response from the speaker’s chair?
“This is how we do things here”.
And it really bloody is.
Still, at least the (unelected) President of the European Council has become adept at brevity in his speeches If only the rest of Europe’s bureaucrats gave speeches like this, Britain wouldn’t have to fork over some $100bn+ a year for the privilege of membership.
So next time someone tells you, “Man… that Obama sure is a state-loving socialist weight on America!” Remember, at least you got to elect him, and at least his speeches come with little pantomimes built in.

There is a difference, just because your born in the US and call yourself a US citizen and American doesn’t make you one!

Americans have problems with what goes on, because it isn’t supposed to happen to us, when you have a monarchy you should expect to get raped if the royalty would enjoy seeing it happen.
the royals have no political power, they are just symbolic figureheads.
What makes you think our presidents are elected, Occupied Europe? Also, the powers that be, pull on ALL of the strings. Most of the “powers that be” come from your continent in the first place! ha ha
