Man Arrested At McDonald’s, Upset Over Racist Happy Meals

DES MOINES, IA – 34-year-old B9316559563Z.1_20150311094658_000_GCKA6H5UH.1-0Lance Williams was arrested and charged with assault and disorderly conduct after he attacked a McDonald’s employee over Happy Meal toys not having dark skin.

Williams initially entered the restaurant to inquire about the price of water. A friend of his with him bought a sandwich, left, and returned; complaining that there was a bite taken out of the sandwich.

Williams demanded a refund, which the manager granted so that the two would finally leave. Williams started into a tirade, complaining that the toys in McDonald’s Happy Meals were racist because they did not have any characters with dark skin.

He then started threatening to jump over the counter and fight the employees before police finally arrived. He kept threatening an employee he called “Mexican” and said, “I am going to show you what Mayweather is going to do to Pacquiao.” He also called the store manager “white trash,” and another person “Sanchez.”

Officers reported that Williams immediately became hostile towards them on the scene. He was arrested, booked, and has since been released from the Polk County jail.
