Lena Dunham Complains That Odell Beckham Jr. Is Not Interested in Her

I don’t call myself a feminist. This makes some people will ask, “you mean, you don’t support equal rights between men and women?” Don’t be silly. Of course, I do.

One reason that I don’t find feminism appealing is outspoken feminist representatives. People like Lena Dunham. Yeah… no thanks.

In a recent interview, Lena Dunham complains that New York Giants Odell Beckham Jr. was not interested at her at the Met Ball:

I was sitting next to Odell Beckham Jr., and it was so amazing because it was like he looked at me and he determined I was not the shape of a woman by his standards. He was like, “That’s a marshmallow. That’s a child. That’s a dog.” It wasn’t mean — he just seemed confused.

The vibe was very much like, “Do I want to f**k it? Is it wearing a … yep, it’s wearing a tuxedo. I’m going to go back to my cell phone.” It was like we were forced to be together, and he literally was scrolling Instagram rather than have to look at a woman in a bow tie. I was like, “This should be called the Metropolitan Museum of Getting Rejected by Athletes.”

WOW.

Not everyone is going to be interested in you. It sucks. You move on.

As a public figure herself, she should be more careful about negatively mentioning another celebrity in an interview. Sounds like he was just sitting there, minding his own business. Now he’s pulled into this public story about him not being interested in Lena.

Poor guy.

Lena, he doesn’t owe you his time and attention.

If the story was gender flipped (a man complaining that a woman ignored him), can you imagine the uproar?

He’d be rightfully called an entitled jerk.

Men can never win for Lena.

If you’re interested in Lena? You’re sexualizing her. If you’re not interested in her? You’re ignoring her.

There are too many inconsistencies and bad representatives for me to consider joining the modern feminist movement.
