Kentucky Community Outraged at Government, Alleges Officer Murdered Fleeing Teenager (VIDEO)

“Something needs to be done about this injustice… We’re all sitting here, lighting candles, being quiet.”

The Kentucky community of Hebron is indignant after a teenage girl was shot by a police officer while fleeing a field party. Police says that Samantha Ramsey “had just tried to kill” Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Brockman by hitting him with her car. Yet at least one witness says that Brockman needlessly leaped onto the hood of the car and opened fire.

“The cop was in the wrong. I was there. I was in the back seat,” says 20-year-old Chelsey Pendleton. “That was unnecessary force. He had no right to do that.”

At what was supposed to be a solemn candlelight vigil for Ramsey, Hebron residents exploded in anger.

“Something needs to be done about this injustice,” one young man yelled. “We’re all sitting here, lighting candles, being quiet – when the government is out here shooting [inaudible] for a party.”

“That’s murder!” he shouted, as fellow mourners cried out in agreement. “Murder!”

Gunnar Buemi was a friend of Ramsey’s. “Any other human would have been put in jail for that,” he said.

It could be several weeks before Ramsey’s toxicology reports are released.
