Kelley Paul Calls Ted Cruz Two-Faced

By Lina Bryce

On the surface, Kelley Paul may appear as the unassuming, delicate beauty who is the wife of Republican Presidential candidate Rand Paul; but she is no pushover when it comes to dealing with the nastier side politics. While appearing in an interview with Bloomberg Politics, Mrs. Paul expressed her frustration with both the Democrats and even Republican Presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz‘s sanctimonious position on NSA spying.

Although she asserted that she absolutely does not feel that Hillary Clinton should not be held accountable for Bill Clinton‘s actions, regarding the biggest sex scandal to come out of the White House involving Clinton’s intern, Monica Lewinsky, Mrs. Paul did not miss the opportunity to point out how Democrats are quick to spin such events when it does not conveniently fit their narrative.

“…I think it is different when you have a 22-year old intern. Twenty-two-year-olds have spent their life relating to adults as their parents, their parents friends, their college professors…I don’t really consider it a peer relationship to be a 22-year-old intern and the president of the United States–the most powerful person in the world. So, I did consider that relationship predatory–odious–whatever you want to call it…in corporate America you would be fired for it and it always bothered me that the Democrat party, who loves Bill Clinton, just wanted to brush that under the rug.”

Kelley Paul has been dubbed Rand’s ‘secret weapon’ and this interview demonstrates how true this may be. After pressing her to say something negative about Ted Cruz, she relented, “Okay, you twist[sic] my arm.”

Meet Rand Paul’s Secret Weapon

“In many cases he’s appropriated a lot of Rand’s positions and wants to sort of have it both ways…,” she says. “When Rand was an outspoken critic of the NSA and bulk collection of data and privacy, Cruz was right in there saying yes, I’m for that– and now he’s sort of parroting the other side – Oh well, I voted for it because it’s actually going to allow us to collect more records and become more invasive…so he’s talking a little bit out of both sides.”

After she was asked what the closing tagline be in a “Kelley Paul sponsored attack ad”? She was offered, “Ted Cruz…’Idea Thief”?  She responded without any note of political correctness, “Two-faced?”
