There was recently a heated debate on the Indiana State House floor between Representative Timothy Wesco (R-21) and Representative Vanessa Summers (D-99) concerning the newly-signed Religious Freedom Restoration Act. However, the discussion quickly veered off into one centered on race relations. Beginning at 3:04, Representative Summers claims that Representative Jud McMillin‘s (R-68) 18-month-old son is “scared” of her because of her “color.” She then requested that Representative McMillin introduce his child to “some people of color” so that he won’t live his life “as a prejudiced person.”
