“I’m a black Mormon, so there’s no way I could be racist” Says man who posted that we should start killing white cops

PORTLAND, OR – Aaron Hodges was fired from his job at Nordstrom after he stated that a white police officer should be killed for every black man killed by police. When the inevitable controversy hit, Hodges said: “I’m a black Mormon, so there’s no way I could be racist”

Someone complained to his manager, which led to him being fired. “I’m just passionate about black issues because nobody else seems to be,” Hodges said. “And then the store manager called me on Sunday and was like: ‘We can’t support you anymore Aaron. We got to let you go.’”

Still, he understands why he lost his job, what he doesn’t understand is why people would want to screen capture what he said to get him fired. “I would never think to do something like that,” he said. “If you and I have a problem, I handle it with you. I don’t go behind your back.”

Hodges says he is planning to start putting out 50 resumes a week to find new employment. “Whatever job I’ve had, I’ve excelled at, so I’m not worried,” he said. “All I need is a foot in the door.”

Yeah, good luck with that.
