Hillary, Self-Proclaimed Dog Lover: “Get That F*cking Dog Away from Me!”

Hillary Clinton Apparently Not a Fan of Dogs

If you search the web for Hillary Clinton‘s official position on dogs and other animals, you will find nothing but praise. And yes — Clinton wants you all to know — she does love dogs and lets her own three pooches on the sofa “from time to time,” even though it may not be “proper dog etiquette” — according to a 2014 Los Angeles Times interview. We are told by Seventeen that she earned a perfect score with the Humane Society, and that “during her husband’s presidency, their cat, Socks, and dog, Buddy, became beloved icons, inspiring Senator Clinton to publish a book, Dear Socks, Dear Buddy, featuring the letters that children had written to the pets.”

However, what a politician says in an interview or writes in a book may be completely different from what she does in real life. Recently, Eric Bonner, who experienced Ms. Clinton’s attitude toward dogs first hand as a K-9 handler serving in the military, shared his experiences with the public in a Facebook post.

The significant portion of the post ran as follows: “One of my Last details was for Hillary when she was Secretary of State. She was in Turkey for whatever reason. I helped with sweeps of her DV Quarters and staff vehicles. Her words to me? ‘Get that Fucking dog away from me.’ Then she turns to her Security Detail and berates them up and down about why that animal was in her quarters. For the next 20 minutes while I sit there waiting to be released she lays into her detail, slamming the door in their faces when she’s done. The Detail lead walks over apologizes and releases me. I apologize to him for getting him in trouble. His words “Happens every day, Brother’.”

The former Secretary of State’s actions suggest that she is an animal lover in name only. But her animal rights stance and the praise from the Humane Society may in fact be perfectly consistent. The animal rights agenda is to keep humans and other animals apart. Working dogs who earn their keep side-by-side with humans go against the Humane Society’s agenda. “I don’t want to see another cat or dog born,” Ted Kersote, of the Humane Society of the United States, wrote in his 1994 book, Bloodties: Nature, Culture and the Hunt

Not everybody has to like dogs. Some perfectly nice people who mind their own business have chosen not to have dogs in their life, and there is nothing wrong with that. But when a politician with an animal rights agenda treats both the officers who serve under her and the dogs whose job it is to keep her safe with equal contempt, then perhaps we should take notice.  Do we want such a person as our Commander-in-Chief or as an agitator against pet ownership?
