As originally reported by Fox News, a new Harvard study revealed that media coverage of President Trump’s first 100 days was at least 80% negative. This is unprecedented, and the Trump administration is “setting a new standard for unfavorable press coverage of a president” according to Thomas E. Patterson, professor at the Harvard Kennedy School and Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy.

The study showed that Trump was the center of attention with regards to constant coverage. He took up to 41 percent of media coverage which triples the amount taken by former presidents.

The study referenced media outlets such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, NBC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, the Financial Times, as well as the UK’s BBC and Germany’s ARD.

There has never been an American president that has taken up as much conflict with the media as President Trump has. As the remainder of the 45th president’s first year in office continues on, it’ll be interesting to watch how the media covers the White House.
