Guess Which GOP Candidate Is Polling The Best Against Hillary Clinton?

A new Quinnipiac poll released last week shows that a surprising contender has emerged in the GOP field as the most competitive candidate against Hillary Clinton? Bet a glass of Kentucky bourbon you’ll never guess which one?

Senator Rand Paul showed in three swing states, Colorado, Virginia, and Iowa that he is the most likely to be able to compete with former Secretary of State Clinton. Clinton still leads him in polling, but compared to the other Republican contenders, Paul does the best.

From Ben Swann:

In Colorado, Clinton leads Paul 43 percent to 41 percent; in Iowa, Clinton leads Paul 45 percent to 37 percent; and in Virginia Clinton leads Paul 44 percent to 42 percent.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush didn’t do as well as Paul. He trails Clinton 44 percent to 36 percent in Colorado, 45 percent to 35 percent in Iowa and is tied with Clinton in Virginia, 42 percent to 42 percent.

The Quinnipiac Poll was conducted Feb. 5 to Feb. 15. In Colorado, 1,049 voters were surveyed, 1,089 voters were surveyed in Iowa and 1,074 voters were surveyed in Virginia. In each survey, the margin of error was plus or minus 3 percentage points.
