Drunken Mayor Goes On Racist Rant Against “Crackers,” “Token” Blacks (NSFW, VIDEO)

MONTICELLO, NY – Residents of the town of Monticello in Upstate New York are asking their mayor to step down after video was released of him engaging in racist rants when he was arrested for drunk driving. Video from the interrogation room shows Gordon Jenkins spending hours going on tirades against “crackers” and suggesting he was being treated like a “ni**er”. [contextly_sidebar id=”c013939094e1f0ec5690bf198f6bc651″]

Jenkins was arrested after he showed up to look at a serious car accident in his town. A volunteer firefighter on the scene noticed that the mayor seemed intoxicated and reported it to law enforcement. Jenkins was arrested almost immediately.

After being detained and taken to the police department, Jenkins was handcuffed to the wall and he began engaging in what became a three-hour-long racist tirade. When an officer comes in to interview him he says, “You know something, Davis? I’m the one that hired you in this job, man. I mean, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter about that. But you know something? How the f**k you guys going to play the game?”

Later the officer refers to him as “sir,” Jenkins replies: “Don’t call me sir.”

“Mayor? Is that better?” the officer responds.

“Don’t call me mayor,” Jenkins shoots back. “Call me n****r, because that’s what I am when I’m right here in handcuffs. But you know something? I don’t give a f**k.”

Hours of videotape from the event have been released during which the mayor breaks a clock on the wall and issues threats to the officers. The mayors arrest was reportedly another in a long string of events connected to his bad behavior. But the mayor’s Attorney Michael Sussman said, “People in Monticello who form his base have suffered indignities at the hands of the same police officers, and they understand what he was saying. He doesn’t sound drunk to me,” Sussman said. “He sounds very coherent to me, even if very angry.”

Jenkins had pleaded guilty at one time for selling knock-off sneakers at a local store. He was also arrested after hitting a police officer and was in trouble for appointing his girlfriend to the village Board of Trustees.

The mayor has pleaded not guilty to the DWI charges and the Monticello Village Trustees are reviewing his fate on December 6th.
