Less than 20% of Clinton State Dep’t w/ Classified info Had Proper Training

According to a new report from a government watchdog group with oversight, and as reported on by Fox News, it appears that less than 1 out of 5 employees who had security clearance in the United States State Department never finished the mandatory information training for handling classified information.

Based on training records obtained from the Foreign Service Institute, the OIG (Office of the Inspector General) found that less than 14 percent of security-cleared employees had completed the required training within the timeframe considered in this review.  Moreover, only 20 percent had completed the training even one time since the outset of the training program,

Not shockingly, the report commissioned in 2013 found that under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s administration, a tremendous amount of employees had neglected their training, which was established as a mandatory process by a 2009 executive order signed by President Barack Obama. The new report spoke to the threat this put on classified information, stating that “when Department employees and contractors are unaware of classification standards and no mechanism is in place to enforce training requirements, there is an increased risk that information could be incorrectly marked, misclassified, and/or improperly restricted or disseminated.”

This new information is extremely alarming, given that people within the Clinton administration during the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as Secretary of State had said that they did not remember their training or even if they did, they still managed to mishandle information.

Furthermore, Clinton herself even said she did not recall her training on such information.

The release of this information only adds to the already current speculation that Clinton, and the State Department during her time there, were at best inept and ill-equipped, and at worst willfully neglectful. Add this to the reports that Clinton’s top aides have said things such as “she doesn’t know how to use a computer,” or that she did not know what her email passwords were, “she is completely dependent on her aides,” and you are left with a frightening picture of a powerful administration.

Would this be any indication as to how her White House staff would function? Do the people of this nation not deserve a certain degree of technological competency? The voters will be the judge.
