Black Lives Matter is a Hate Group and Riots Need to Stop

Recently Black Lives Matter (BLM) Protesters were protesting the death of Keith Scott, a black man who was shot while resisting arrest. This was a very recent event, and the only public evidence so far of the shooting is a video recorded via cellphone by the wife of the deceased. Here is a link to the video if you want to watch it. Something to recognize is that the video is far from something that would be considered sound evidence in a court case, it is not clear what exactly happened from this video. There is a case in court in which the Department Attorney had said there would be actual footage of the shooting released for the court from the vantage point of the police car. During this video police officers were yelling “Drop the gun, Drop the Gun.” Meanwhile the wife, who was recording on her phone from a distance had repeatedly yelled that he didn’t have a gun and had also yelled once that he was taking medicine for his Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Following the events BLM protesters took to the streets in the fashion that they usually do. Rather than waiting for enough substantial evidence to come out of the case, they immediately went to the assumption that this was because of White on Black racism. The protests eventually turned into a riot in which there were many causalities, deaths, and damaged property. Many incidents occurred where black rioters had started committing hate crimes against people because they were white, such as the guy who was ganged up on in a parking lot.

The fact of the matter is that BLM has been constantly trying to add fuel to an already volatile situation by producing false narratives of events as they unfold, rather than waiting to analyze what is actually going on. This isn’t the only city this has happened in, there have been many riots across the country where people burn down gas stations, and more. These riots are a form of vigilantism, vigilantes that are so stuck in their bubble of being “oppressed” that they think it’s the fault of white people.

If White Nationalists were going around saying, “kill all black people,” and “the only good black is a dead black”, people wouldn’t be complicit with it as our mainstream media has become. They would shun it immediately. It doesn’t matter if you are black, white, yellow, or red. Racism is racism, and racism should not be tolerated. It’s a sad state of affairs that this has become commonplace in America, and it’s a sad state of affairs that people think this is acceptable.

Fortunately on the positive side of the spectrum we have prominent members of the black community speaking out against these actions, saying they are completely unjustified. Many more black people are coming around the bend, realizing what is truly going on, and they are not going to keep listening to protesters and such tell them what to think. They are open to the idea of Justice, as ordained by the law, through policy. They are open to the idea of rather than screaming injustice at the top of your lungs, to wait and let justice take place. Our criminal justice system isn’t set up to just punish people that are on the wrong side of the law. It’s also set up to punish those who abuse their authority and act as the law in an unlawful way. That means if a police officer truly does murder somebody without justifiable intent, they will be stripped of their authority and will go to jail.
