Anti-Second Amendment Piers Morgan’s Show Canceled

Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.

CNN host and anti-gun agitator Piers Morgan is losing his primetime show, “Piers Morgan Live,” due to low ratings.

In the three years since the Mr. Morgan replaced Larry King, Mr. Morgan has had difficulty adjusting to an American cable news audience.

The former tabloid editor acknowledged the failures in an interview with the New York Times, noting, “I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it.”

You don’t say.

Piers Morgan has been on a nonstop anti-Second Amendment rant for the last year and a half, beginning largely with the Aurora theater shooting and becoming more pronounced with each tragedy.  In the aftermath of the Newton shooting, Morgan called the executive director of Gun Owners of America, Larry Pratt, an “unbelievably stupid man” while interviewing him live on his show.

Mr. Morgan has a colorful history.  He lost his job as editor of the Daily Mirror for publishing fake pictures allegedly showing misconduct by British forces in Iraq, and was recently interviewed by Scotland Yard in a phone-hacking investigation.
