Would Amnesty Really Be All That Bad For The GOP? 

Senator Ted Cruz lashed out at Republicans for supporting a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. Cruz thinks a bipartisan push to grant amnesty would destroy Republicans chances at retaking the senate in 2014.

“Right now, Republican leadership in both chambers is aggressively urging members to stand down on virtually every front: on the continuing resolution, on the budget, on the farm bill, on the debt ceiling,” Cruz said to Breitbart.

Cruz was also praised by arch-neocon Jennifer Rubin in the Washington Post recently, claiming that he was striking a more “Reagan-esque” note on foreign policy. But what did Ronald Reagan have to say about Amnesty and illegal immigration? And if the neocons are jumping on board the Cruz missile, is it time for libertarians to jump off?
