5 Most Hardcore Libertarian Positions of Gary Johnson

Some people thought yesterday that we were a little harsh in our criticisms of Gary Johnson’s 5 most unlibertarian positions. We thought it wise to clear the record and offer some insight into some of the issues that makes Gary the most libertarian candidate running for president in 2016.

1. Abolish the IRS

“Imagine life without having to deal with the IRS…”

Governor Gary Johnson wants the abolish the IRS, and that’s hella libertarian. Sure he wants to replace it with a consumption tax, but at least his heart’s in the right place.

“Let’s abolish the IRS, let’s eliminate income tax, let’s eliminate corporate tax, let’s balance the federal budget and if we need a tax, it can be one federal consumption tax.”

It’s a good start Gary, but have you ever taken a hit off a spliff and just gotten a “little” high? Nah… once you start with a spliff, you gotta roll a blunt. Then you gotta hit the bong, and then it’s the volcano, and on and on. If a little high’s good, a LOT high is better right? It’s kind of like that with taxation, except instead of more weed… I mean taxes… you want less taxes… I mean fewer. Yes, fewer taxes is gooder.
