2 People Shot At Party With Rappers T.I., Jeezy, Yo Gotti

CHARLOTTE, NC – Two people were shot, but expected to survive, while partying at a club with famous rappers T.I., Jeezy, and Yo Gotti. “Preliminary information and evidence gathered on the scene indicates that an unidentified suspect fired several shots from inside the club striking the two victims,” Charlotte police said. “This is an ongoing, active investigation.”

The shooting occurred at the Label nightclub, which is part of the Music Factory Complex. The events were a series of parties celebrating the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s recent basketball tournament.

The nightclub issued a statement on the shootings:

“Please be advised that an incident occurred this evening at Label following an event. The exact circumstances concerning the incident have yet to be determined. Officials at Label are cooperating with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department concerning their investigation of this matter. Tonight’s events at Label will take place as scheduled. It should be noted that there will continue to be very substantial security for all Label events during tournament weekend. And, Label remains fully committed to the safety and security of its patrons.”

There have been no arrests as of yet. One of the victims was a woman and another was a man, who are expected to recover from their wounds. There have been no arrests made yet, so no word on the motives for the shootings.

Officer J.D. Thomas said: “This appears to be a random shooting that was probably started by an argument. This is an ongoing, active investigation, and as new information develops it will be released by CMPD Public Affairs.”
